canon 17-35mm F2.8 L Lens

Hard for me to choose, i have just get some pic to view 1st.
Price for a second hand canon 17-35mm F2.8 L Lens is RM2700.
For a new 16-35mm F2.8 II L Lens is RM5000.
What a big gap on price.
